Description

It did not walk into the chamber — it tore through it, a screaming column of wind and ancient hunger that stripped the torches from their sconces and scattered the party's maps like dead leaves.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs

This is pose 02 of our Air Elemental range by Novaminis, and it captures the creature in a moment of coiled, furious motion. The sculpt takes the form of a towering whirlwind — a writhing spiral of compressed air-ribbons and wind-blades that taper to a narrow base, giving the impression of a body always mid-rotation, never fully at rest. What makes this sculpt so visually arresting is the detail embedded within the vortex itself: skulls, spiralling shell-like forms, and shadowed faces are woven into the flowing streams of wind, suggesting this elemental has consumed much in its long existence. The wide, fanning crest at the top splays outward like a storm cloud about to break, while the whole form leans with menace and momentum. Viewed from any angle, the layered depth of those swirling strands rewards a careful eye — this is as compelling a piece on a display shelf as it is on a battlemat.

Air elementals in D&D 5e are CR 5 creatures from the Elemental Plane of Air — ancient, merciless forces that can be summoned by incautious wizards, worshipped by storm cults, or encountered roaming the wild spaces between worlds. This sculpt carries all of that lore in its form.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding elemental encounter for their D&D or Pathfinder campaign
  • Are building a storm cult, planar rift, or Tempest Cleric-themed adventure
  • Want a centrepiece display piece that rewards painting with washes and contrast paints
  • Are collecting a full set of elemental monsters for their collection

Encounter Hook:
The ritual was meant to seal the rift — instead, it tore it wider. From the howling gap above the altar, a column of shrieking wind descended, and within it the party could just make out the shapes of faces: those of the cultists who had failed before them. The Air Elemental has learned. It will not let them leave.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all our miniatures, this arrives ready for priming and painting, though it looks striking unpainted too. We take care with every piece, but please note that minor marks from support removal are a natural part of the printing process and are easily tidied up.
