Agatha Saltwick is an old woman who carries the world on her back — quite literally. Beneath a deep hood that shadows her lined, knowing face, she hauls an enormous woven basket packed tight with pouches, netting, and bundled goods. A mortar and pestle juts from the top of the load, marking her trade at a glance. In her left hand she holds a gnarled walking staff wrapped in cord; in her right, a small merchant's balance scale — the kind that tells you exactly how honest a transaction is about to be.

The base is scattered with the tools of her itinerant trade: bulging sacks of dried goods, small clay pots, a scattering of seeds or spices. Every surface rewards a close look, from the texture of the woven basket to the folds of her layered travelling robes. Whether she's a wandering herbalist, a spy in plain sight, a hag in disguise, or the most important contact the party never saw coming, Agatha brings immediate narrative weight the moment she appears on the table.

The sculpt ships in a multipart format and comes with your choice of a detailed decorative base, a plain round base, or no base at all — so she fits straight into your existing basing scheme if you prefer.

Suited to adventurers who:

• Need a memorable, richly detailed NPC for market towns, wilderness crossroads, or shadowy back-alley dealings
• Are running a campaign arc involving herbalists, spies, hedge witches, or travelling merchants
• Want a character that could be played straight or harbour something far more dangerous beneath that hood
• Enjoy painting miniatures packed with fine textural detail — wicker, rope, cloth, and ceramic all in one piece
• Collect character-driven sculpts that look as compelling on a display shelf as they do mid-session

Encounter Hook

The party spots an old woman at the crossroads outside Thornfield — scales in hand, basket impossibly full, waiting as though she knew they were coming. She offers a rare poultice for a fair price, and a rumour for free. The rumour is true. The price is less fair than it seems. And she'll be gone by morning, leaving only a faint smell of dried lavender and a nagging feeling that the party just agreed to something they don't fully understand yet.
