Description

Something skitters at the edge of the Feywild's deeper thickets — fur-covered, wide-eyed, and trailing the soft drone of insect wings too large for anything natural.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Aerix is one of those creatures that defies easy classification, which is precisely what makes it such a compelling addition to any Feywild encounter. Sculpted by La Louve 3D, this bipedal beast stands upright on scaled, taloned feet, its compact furred body contrasting sharply with the broad, veined insect wings fanned behind it — each wing panel rendered with fine hexagonal cell detail that catches paint beautifully. A pair of short blunt horns crown its head, and a ridge-spined tail curves behind it, giving the pose a watchful, coiled energy. One forelimb is raised, claws spread — not quite threatening, not quite welcoming.

Whether you're running it as a mischievous fey familiar, a territorial creature of the wild, or a wholly original monster your players have never encountered in any sourcebook, Aerix rewards creative Dungeon Masters who want something genuinely unusual on the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where those wing details and the textured fur across its body give painters a rich range of surfaces to work with.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Feywild or enchanted forest campaigns and want distinctive, memorable creatures
  • Need a fey familiar, sprite-kin, or unusual beast for an NPC encounter
  • Enjoy painting miniatures with varied texture — fur, wing membranes, scales, and claws all in one sculpt
  • Collect display-quality fantasy miniatures from independent artists

Encounter Hook:
The party has been following the forest path for three hours when they realise the trees haven't changed — the same gnarled oak, the same split boulder, the same cluster of mushrooms. Then, from somewhere just above eye level, comes the low thrumming of wings, and a pair of wide unblinking eyes appear in the canopy ahead. Aerix has been leading them in circles. It wants something. Whether it's food, a favour, or simply the sport of watching them argue about the map is unclear.
