Abraham Billingsworth by Great Grimoire
Description
He stands atop a coffin split open by grasping corpse-hands, staff crowned with a candelabra, grimoire open in his palm — and his expression suggests he is only mildly inconvenienced by the undead clawing their way free beneath him.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Abraham Billingsworth is the kind of figure who turns up in graveyards at midnight not because something has gone wrong, but because he has a very specific appointment. His hooded travelling cloak billows behind him, his belt is heavy with pouches and tools of the trade, and at his back hangs a gravedigger's spade — the practical accessory of a man who doesn't wait for others to do the digging. The candelabra staff casts long shadows, and the open tome in his hand glows with the unmistakable sense that whatever he's reading, the dead are responding to it.
This sculpt from Great Grimoire captures him mid-ritual, utterly composed whilst a tangle of undead limbs erupts from the coffin base beneath his feet. Whether you read him as a necromancer, a fallen cleric, a warlock of a very unsettling patron, or a morally flexible quest-giver with one foot literally in the grave, he brings immediate narrative weight to any table. Equally at home in a Ravenloft horror campaign, a gothic city intrigue, or as the surprisingly helpful (if unsettling) sage your party can't quite trust.
Perfect for adventurers who:- Want a distinctive necromancer or dark cleric miniature with built-in scene drama
- Need an NPC that immediately communicates "he knows things he shouldn't"
- Are running gothic horror, graveyard encounters, or undead-themed campaigns
- Want a display piece that tells a complete story without a single painted detail
Encounter Hook:
The party finds him at the edge of the old cemetery, candle-staff lit against the fog, calmly reading aloud from a cracked grimoire while three zombie hands stretch up from a broken coffin at his feet. He doesn't look up. "You're early," he says. "Or the dead are late. One of the two." He closes the book. "Either way — I have a job for you."
