- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Abelard the Stargazer is an arcane scholar of unmistakable presence. This sculpt captures him mid-incantation: an open tome held aloft in one hand, while the other channels energy through a great circular arcane sigil — a lattice of glowing geometric lines that radiates studied authority. A second sigil floats at his back, hinting at layered enchantments already in motion. He wears a long travelling coat, hood partially raised, with round scholar's spectacles lending him an air of methodical precision. The detailed summoning circle base anchors the composition beautifully, making this a miniature that draws the eye whether it's on the battlefield or a display shelf.
Whether you cast him as a brilliant but morally ambiguous court wizard, a rival arcane researcher, or the party's own bookish spellcaster, Abelard brings genuine narrative weight to the table. He's equally at home in an urban arcane academy or a crumbling observatory at the edge of the known world.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Play Wizard, Sorcerer, or Warlock characters and want a sculpt with real academic flair
- Need a named NPC — a mentor, rival scholar, or secretive quest-giver
- Want a display piece that reads as a character, not just a caster type
- Are building an arcane faction or scholarly organisation within their campaign
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the Cartographers' Vault to find it locked from the inside — and Abelard standing at the centre of a vast summoning circle etched into the floor, pages torn from three different spellbooks orbiting him like satellites. He looks up, utterly unsurprised. "Good. I was wondering when someone competent would arrive. Shut the door — we have perhaps fourteen minutes before what I've summoned realises it can leave."
