Looking Back at 2025 Looking Back at 2025

Hello & Welcome!

As the Wheel turns, we find ourselves again at the end of another year so its another opportunity for us to look back and reflect on the year and look forward to the next one.

I write the day after we had a wonderful family celebration with Adam and his family and friends. Sharron and I together with them had a lovely Yule celebration to welcome in the Solstice and the coming of the summer. It was a great time for us all to get together and share food, drinks, laughs, and memories. And it is a nice reminder for that which is important to us and to celebrate togetherness. So we are equally hoping that everyone is able to celebrate this holiday season in the way that they wish and have an opportunity to share it with those around them.

And I have to say that I am ever so grateful to everyone who has supported us this year - new customers and returning customers alike. We are always touched that among the many options available to you for getting your miniatures you choose to put your trust in us to bring you the many great miniatures that we have to enhance your collection and your table top experiences.

The artists that we support have been busy as well and they've brought us many amazing items. It would be unfair of me to highlight one over the others and it would be impractical for me to start to list out our favourite models from each artist. So suffice to say that our library of models has been greatly enhanced and we hope you enjoy browsing through what we offer, both new and old. Happy browsing!

Adam and I have been having loads of fun running our two campaigns.

My Party in Adam's Tyranny of Dragons games have undergone many trials and have had significant character growth which I have enjoyed writing about in the playthrough journal. They are still on their long Caravan journey but the next year and future sessions should bring them face to face with more and more difficult challenges and we hope you will continue to follow their journey and self exploration. And Adam has been doing a great job keeping the story unfolding in new and exciting ways while also keeping the encounters dynamic and fun (and also offering me some opportunities to learn new tactics to more effectively use the terrain to my advantage! :-) ).

Meanwhile, I think both Adam and Stuart have been enjoying my Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign. There have been many different plot threads being developed, some of which have concluded, some of which are still developing. And we are nearing the end of Chapter 1 and things should really be heating up (or should I say getting colder? :-) ) as the different plot lines start to converge and further develop to really bring the main climaxes of the story to the forefront. I hope their Party will get more and more engrossed in all the different machinations and I am really looking forward to share the different enhancements / adjustments I've made to the story and the exciting stuff I have in store for the end of Chapter 1 and for Chapter 2 (and beyond!).

In support of the two campaigns we've really ramped up the usage of the Dungeon Blocks and it really has taken our gaming experience to a new level. Its been super fun and I'll do a little write-up about where we run my campaign in a post early next year. And I've been busy this month especially printing blocks from one of the newest block releases which will be an important part of Chapter 2 so until the big reveal, let's have this little tease be what I'll leave you with for now. :-)

And Stuart has been keeping Adam and I busy with his Pulp Call of Cthulhu game as the Keeper. Its a totally different game setting than our other D&D games and it is fun to enjoy some Cosmic Terror amongst our fantastical adventures. The game system is relatable to D&D (despite no real need to use any minis in our sessions :-) ) so it is easy to pick up and its nice to have something different on the go as well. Maybe we should try to showcase more of that side of things in our write-ups. I'll have a chat with the lads to see what we can do!

Adam has continued to be busy in his studio and been doing amazing work on our ever growing mini collection (as I've written before and stress, we don't just print and sell the minis, but we use them ourselves!) and I've launched Studio P and I've really enjoyed the few opportunities I've had to paint with my new Speedpaint Markers (I hope to be able to spend more time painting in the new year). So always keep an eye on our Image Gallery as there should be regular updates from both of us.

So what new things do we have planned for 2026?

  • Regular updates of the new models that our Artists are making
    • We've been pretty good to not only catch up on a significant backlog but to more or less stay current
  • We have one more new Artist to add to the library - we've been keeping an eye on their models for a while now so we'll be excited to get them added to our collection (hopefully!) early next year so stay tuned!
  • Price Adjustments
    • I've not been selling as many Busts and Display Size models as I was hoping so I will be reviewing the pricing strategy and I will likely be reducing those prices early in the new year. So if you are a fan of Busts and other Display Pieces, be on the lookout for some changes next year which should make them more attractive for you (I hope!).
  • Social Media Strategy
    • I have been getting help from Emily who is behind ELG Media Management - she has been helping with new posts and really improving our Social Media presence to hopefully attract more of you to our little shop
    • We have lots of things in the works (some already in play now) so hoping to do a post early next year to clarify a bit more but so far its been super helpful
  • Additional Graphics
    • I've really been amazed with the work from Lauren and Guy over at GCGD and we are hoping to do more exciting stuff next year
    • The revamped Character Class thank you inserts have been a hit so really excited for the next year
  • Equipment / Material Uplift
    • We always keep an eye on 3D Printing tech so we'll see how the year goes and if we need to refresh our fleet of prints to stay current and bring you the best quality stuff (we have updated in the last quarter this year so we should be ok for next year)
    • But, we are exploring advances in Resins as well - currently we use Elegoo ABS-Like 3.0 Pro, but we will try and do some tests next year to see if their ABS-Like 3.0 Ultra is as good as they make it out to be
  • Continued Updates
    • We hope to be able to more regular updates on what's going on

And any yearly recap wouldn't be complete without a special message from Mitz and Simz themselves:

They send everyone a big MEOW MEOW PURRRR PURRRR PURRR. They are doing very well and enjoying the warmth indoors and are as precious as ever!

And let me highlight some painted baubles that Sharron painted (unpainted versions are available in the shop!) that are adorning our tree:

In conclusion, its been an amazing year and a massive mega THANK YOU (and PURR PURR) to everyone for their support this year and we wish everyone a very wonderful holiday season and a happy end to the year. And of course, all the best for 2026! Looking to hearing from you all next year!

Thanks!

Happy continued painting and gaming and celebrating!

-Pete (& Mitz & Simz)
