This is Pose 01 of the Mimic Double Bed from Novaminis, and it is one of the most delightfully devious pieces of scatter terrain you can drop onto your dungeon map. The sculpt shows a classic wooden double bed mid-reveal: the footboard has split apart to expose a crocodilian maw packed with curved, jagged teeth, a thick tongue lolling between the jaws, and rough scaled flesh bulging through the frame. From behind it reads as entirely ordinary — grain-textured headboard, rumpled mattress, two pillows — which is precisely what makes it so effective at the table.
Whether you are running a haunted inn, a cursed noble's estate, or a mimic-infested dungeon wing, this piece earns its place as both a functional encounter prop and a display piece worth painting in gory detail. Encounter Hook:
The exhausted party decides to rest at the Tarnished Flagon — the only inn in a three-day radius. The barkeep assigns them the large room on the second floor. Two beds. Plenty of space. The ranger falls asleep immediately. The fighter moves to claim the double bed by the window — and the double bed moves first.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base; the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. This miniature arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box as unpainted scatter terrain. As with all resin prints, minor surface marks from support removal are possible — these are easily tidied up before painting.
