Knight (Sir Kay) by Primal Collectibles
Description
Foster-brother to Arthur, Seneschal of Camelot, and the knight most likely to remind you exactly how long he has served the crown — Sir Kay has never needed a magic sword to command a room.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This miniature from Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range captures Sir Kay in an authoritative, arms-crossed stance that speaks volumes without a word. Broad-shouldered and battle-worn, he stands in layered chainmail hauberk beneath pauldrons and vambraces, a heavy cloak swept behind him and a sword at his hip. His expression is that of a man who has seen kingdoms rise and petitioners lie — and who is thoroughly unimpressed by both. The detailed decorative base beneath his armoured boots reinforces his status as a figure of consequence, not merely a soldier.
Three distinct render angles are available for this sculpt, each showing a slightly different turn of the body — from the composed frontal pose with arms folded, to a three-quarter view that emphasises the sweep of his cloak and the weight of his armour. All three are shown as high-resolution digital renders in grey, unpainted, giving you a clear sense of the sculpt's detail before paint touches it. Whether you display him commanding the high table or drop him onto the battlemap mid-negotiation, the character reads immediately.
Sir Kay works equally well as a gaming piece and as a display miniature for Arthurian legend enthusiasts. He is printed at 32mm scale and supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork.
A solid choice for adventurers who:
- Need a senior knight NPC — seneschal, castellan, or champion of a noble house
- Are running an Arthurian, medieval court, or high-chivalry campaign setting
- Want a Fighter or Paladin player character with gravitas and political weight
- Are building a display collection of legendary figures from Arthurian myth
- Need a no-nonsense quest-giver who might just become a rival
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the gates of Camelot seeking audience with the king — and instead finds Sir Kay blocking the entrance, arms folded, already certain they are wasting his time. He knows something about the quest they have been sent on. Whether he tells them depends entirely on how the next Persuasion roll goes.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are supplied as separate pieces and can be attached with a small amount of superglue. The base is recommended — several of the sculpts in this range interact visually with their bases in ways that enhance the overall composition. Supplied unprimed and unpainted. Some minor support marks may be present and are easily cleaned up before painting.
