This is Doppelganger 02 from Novaminis — the second sculpt in their doppelganger range, and arguably the more viscerally unsettling of the two. Where the first pose might imply stillness or waiting, this one is all kinetic menace: the figure is caught in a wide, coiled stance — weight dropped low, one clawed hand thrust forward, the featureless face tilted as if it's reading you like a page of text. Every sinew of that smooth, unnatural body communicates threat.

The blank, vestigial facial features — those shallow depressions where eyes might have been, the absence of anything truly human — are rendered with a quiet, creeping effectiveness. This is a creature that doesn't need to pretend anymore, and the sculpt captures that moment of revelation with real character. Novaminis have dubbed their range "Monsters with Character," and this piece earns that description in full.

Whether you paint it in cold, grey-white tones to emphasise its alien nature, or go for something more fleshy and disturbing to suggest it's mid-transformation, the smooth musculature gives painters a broad canvas to work with.
