Description

Something dragged itself from the depths of the Underdark — part crustacean, part aberrant nightmare — and it has a claw the size of a battering ram pointed directly at your party.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Bartrok is a creature that defies easy classification. Chitinous armour plating erupts across a bloated, multi-limbed torso, while tentacle-like appendages curl beneath a body studded with fleshy nodules and barbed spines. The centrepiece — that enormous, serrated cannon claw — is raised and ready, its gaping maw of a tip suggesting it fires something far worse than mere bolts. Bioluminescent fungi and shattered driftwood scattered across the sculpted base place Bartrok squarely in a subterranean, waterlogged lair. This is not a random beast. This is something that has been changed, grown, or conjured by minds that do not think the way yours does.

Whether you're running an Underdark campaign where illithid colonies have begun experimenting on local fauna, or you need a standalone aberrant boss that will make your players genuinely reconsider their life choices, Bartrok brings visual menace and sculptural complexity to the table. Equally at home as a centrepiece for a display shelf or as the creature that ends a session on a cliffhanger.

A fine addition for adventurers who:

  • Need a large, multi-limbed aberration as a memorable boss or elite encounter
  • Are building an Underdark arc involving aberrant corruption or illithid experimentation
  • Want a display-worthy sculpt with genuine detail from every angle
  • Collect monsters that look like nothing else on the shelf

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking the source of a strange, low vibration felt through the stone floors of the Underdark for two sessions. They round a flooded cavern corner to find Bartrok crouched over the remains of a duergar patrol — the bodies intact but hollowed, as though something has been extracted from within. The cannon claw swings toward the light source. Roll for initiative.

Bartrok is scaled to 32mm and comes with a detailed scenic base — the model and base are separate pieces, designed to be joined with superglue. The base is worth attaching: the sculpt interacts with it in ways that genuinely add to the overall composition. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming, basing, and your chosen colour scheme.
