This is a brown bear in full threat display: reared up on its hind legs, fore-claws extended, mouth thrown open in a roar that you can practically hear. Every tuft and layer of thick fur is rendered with the kind of crisp, tactile detail that rewards a careful paint job — from the dense ruff across the shoulders to the worn, leathery paw pads. It's an imposing silhouette even unpainted, and a show-stopper once some earth tones and washes are worked into that coat.
In D&D 5e, a brown bear is a genuine early-campaign threat — a Large Beast with a multiattack, a powerful bite, and a grapple that can ruin a low-level adventurer's afternoon.
