Abyssal Chicken 01 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios
Description
Something tore through the planar membrane — not a demon of horns and fire, but a lurching, beak-jawed nightmare on scaled talons, its vast dorsal fin splitting the dark like a blade.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Abyssal Chicken is one of those creatures that earns its place at the table the moment players lay eyes on it. Equal parts absurd and genuinely unsettling, it stands on heavy reptilian feet — each tipped with thick, hooked claws — and opens a maw ringed with recurved fangs. A single enormous fin rises from its back like a sail, dominating its silhouette and making it unmistakable on any battlemat. The musculature beneath its hide is taut and predatory; this is not a creature that waddles — it lunges.
For Dungeon Masters, the Abyssal Chicken slots naturally into encounters involving demonic incursion, failed rituals, or the chaotic fauna of the Abyss. It works beautifully as a summoned beast, a wandering planar nuisance, or the unexpected centrepiece of a cultist's menagerie. Painters will find rich surface detail across the clawed feet, the layered hide, and the organic texture of that towering dorsal fin — all of which rewards both basecoating and more advanced techniques. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is terrorising a party of level-three adventurers.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a chaotic, memorable creature for a demonic or planar encounter
- Want an eye-catching centrepiece for a cultist summoning scene
- Are building an Abyssal or Far Realm-themed collection
- Love painting creatures with bold, unusual silhouettes
Encounter Hook:
The cult's summoning circle was meant to call a quasit — a simple, controllable messenger. Instead, the chamber floor cracked, the candles snuffed out, and something considerably larger pushed its way through. The party can hear it moving in the dark below the trapdoor. It is not a quasit.
