Summer Update - Various Happenings

Hello and Welcome!

Its summer time and the sun is out, the temp is up, and both Mitz & Simz are loving the sunshine! But as we can see in the post picture, they are not daft, when it gets really warm outside, they are taking refuge in "their" bedroom to stay cool and safe. Hopefully everyone else is having a nice summer as well!

Its the start of another month and that means (in most cases) another big drop of models from our artists (for some, they are dropping some weekly, or so). We have a lot of variety this month so please check them out. To just highlight some of the additions, we have a whole clan of Deep Gnomes, a pirate themed release, more animal adventurers, some undead creatures, a wide array of creatures for random encounters (Unicorns, Nightmares, Ropers, Grells, Gricks, Blink Dogs), and various other things. We also will be catching up on some of the backlog for one of our artists when their latest Kickstarter lands later this month (we took the opportunity to catch-up on backlog releases). We try to get the new items added timely so please check them out and remember we have a New Collection which we keep rotating as new models come in so they are easy for you to find. And our newest artist that we added to the shop had a first sale of her models within 3 days of adding to them to shop so we are quite happy for that.

We are also excited to launch some new Thank You cards which are going out in our parcels which we hope everyone will enjoy. We hope they'll possibly even be something everyone will want to collect, so please keep an eye out for when your parcel arrives and let us know what you think - we are really chuffed with how they turned out and we have to hand it to Lauren over at Guy Gracknell Graphic Design - Guy Cracknell Graphic Design - Home - she helped with the artwork and we hope you will love the designs as much as we do. We do want to say thank you to our customers for each order and we hope these new cards will not just be a generic card but something everyone can enjoy and keep. But we'll post a separate post once we start getting feedback on the first set of orders that go out to properly introduce them.

We are doing other work under the hood on the shop.

The Image Gallery is updated regularly - Image Gallery – MitzNSimz - so please check them out and see if you find any models you want to add into your collection or if you get some inspiration on how to paint yours. And of course, please send us your pictures!

We are also making changes to how we collect Reviews. We are establishing ourselves on Google Marketplace as well so you may start to get invitations to leave reviews on either Google directly or with Reviews.IO (there is an integration between the two so we'll still be able to show the reviews on the site). And please if you do have just a few moments, please give a review as it really helps other customers gain some confidence and it helps small businesses like ours grow. And we do take comments seriously so if you do have a problem, please do get in touch and we'll try to sort out any issues ASAP. And we also take the reviews seriously so we use the proper tools to collect proper and verified reviews (no bots here spamming our site with reviews).

And we hope to increase our presence on Facebook and Instagram as well as finally properly setting up email campaigns about new items and notifications for people to see the latest on what is happening. But we don't want to create spam - just honest updates about what we are doing as a small growing small business.

One of our customers - @ChaosMistress - has done a painting video for a model she picked up from us and it turned out great! Please have a watch and give her some support. Freebies ... We all love freebies! We are still including a bonus (sometimes more than one!) on all orders from the website. We've stopped doing that on orders from Etsy as another way to help incentivise people to shift over to the shop. We try to add something that fits the order if we can, but we always love to hear from customers so if you have a preference, just drop us a note!

We've been continuing with our two campaigns - Tyranny of Dragons (me playing) and Rime of the Frostmaiden (me DM-ing) and doing our journal updates regularly so give them a read to check in on the action. We enjoy writing them up and hopefully you can see our story telling voices emerging as we go from one week to the next because we think it is good fun to tell the story of the adventure.
