Description

It does not sleep, it does not question, and the kingdom that built it has not existed for six hundred years — yet still it walks its post.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

The Greatguard is a display-scale construct miniature of extraordinary presence. Clad in heavily engraved plate armour and bearing a long haft weapon in one hand, its most remarkable feature is the architectural structure mounted across its shoulders — two gothic cathedral sections, complete with spired towers, arched rooftops, and iron fencing, fused directly into its frame as though it literally carries the fortress it was built to protect. Its skull-faced helm and reaching off-hand give it a sense of terrible, purposeful motion. The base is strewn with scattered debris and iron spikes, adding to the sense of something ancient and unstoppable grinding forward.

This is a boss-scale miniature, far larger than standard 32mm fare — the base alone measures 160mm across. Whether you field it as a golem guardian, a relic war-construct, or the physical embodiment of a forgotten empire's final will, The Greatguard commands the table the moment it appears. It paints magnificently for display collectors who want something that genuinely dominates a shelf.

Well suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a centrepiece BBEG or dungeon guardian for a major campaign encounter
  • Want a display-scale painting project with extraordinary architectural detail
  • Are building encounters around ancient ruins, fallen kingdoms, or magical constructs
  • Collect large-scale fantasy miniatures for shelf display

Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the vaults beneath the collapsed capital, seeking the crown of the last king — only to find the corridor ahead already occupied. The Greatguard has stood here since the siege of 612 SR. It received no order to stand down. It does not intend to.
