Fey Touched Beast (Barkette) by DM Stash
Description
Something ancient and bark-skinned watches from the treeline — patient, hungry, and wholly wrong in the way only Feywild creatures can be.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Barkette is no simple forest guardian. This hulking fey beast is a collision of primordial woodland and Feywild corruption — its body a mass of overlapping bark-like scales, each ridge dusted with the green shimmer of wild magic. Its wide, tooth-lined maw gapes with predatory intent, whilst conifer-shaped growths erupt from its flanks and a single pale lotus bloom crowns its back — a grotesque parody of natural beauty. Heavy, curved talons grip the rocky terrain it lurches across, and butterfly-wing motifs catch the light near its brow, hinting at a fey origin far stranger than any beast encounter your party has faced before.
This sculpt rewards painters and collectors in equal measure. The layered texture of bark, stone, and organic growth gives a rich canvas for drybrushing and washes, whilst the dynamic crouching pose — head lowered, jaws open, claws forward — makes it every bit as compelling on a display shelf as on the battlemat. The detailed scenic base grounds it in a woodland clearing of mossy stone, connecting the creature to its environment in a way that elevates the whole piece.
A strong choice for adventurers who:
- Run Feywild campaigns or encounters in enchanted woodland settings
- Need a memorable boss monster or territorial guardian with genuine presence
- Want a character that doubles as a striking display piece
- Enjoy detailed, textured sculpts that reward careful painting
Encounter Hook:
The druids' circle has gone silent — no birdsong, no insects, no wind. Then the party hears the slow crack of bark on stone, and something enormous shoulders its way out of the ancient oaks, wearing the forest like armour and fixing them with eyes the colour of rotting leaves. The Barkette has not eaten since the last Midsummer, and it remembers what mortal flesh tastes like.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and scenic base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with super glue — and the base integrates closely enough with the sculpt that we strongly recommend displaying them together. Print quality is high-detail, and each piece is quality checked before dispatch. Minor imperfections from support removal may occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before priming.
