Artist Focus - DnD Is A Woman
Hello and welcome!
This Artist Focus post takes a look at a line exclusively focused at female Player Characters and NPCs - DnD Is A Woman! Check out their page here - DnD Is A Woman.
Our search for artists led us to try to fill another gap we felt that existed which is in relation to strong female character minis that promote more well rounded female character models. And that is how we came across DnD Is A Woman.
Their designs are exclusively about creating female characters (for players, or NPC - as heroes or villains!) that portray a wide variety of character races and classes and promotes a healthier, confident, and strong image of a feminine character.
They do one mini per month and they provide both tabletop size as well as display size and each character has plenty of distinct design and little elements to give them lots of character. We add the designs usually as soon as we get them.
We do tend to scale them up by 10% to make their size more in line the height of other artist models (of course, we can scale them as needed if you have a special need so please get in touch - always happy to accommodate). Despite that though, their overall size can still feel "small" when compared to other "heroic" scale minis. But don't let that shy you away as the models have lots of lovely little details that sets one model apart from another.
But we felt that it is important to get strong female characters adequate representation and these models do just that in a proper way. And their variety of choices will hopefully make it easy to find that right model for a specific reason. All the details paint up very nicely as well.
Just like our other artists, we are happy to support them and if you want to bring some strong and unique female minis to your Dungeons & Dragons adventure, then definitely check them out!
Happy gaming and painting!
