Sturian carries himself with the quiet authority of a ranger who has tracked quarry across fog-choked moors and rooftop shadows alike. This bust captures him in a moment of focused readiness — crossbow lowered at his side, cape caught mid-billow behind him, layered armour buckled tight across a broad chest. The detail across his breastplate straps, belt hardware, and engraved cloak hem gives painters a wealth of texture to work with at this scale.

His expression is the real story: eyes narrowed not in alarm but in appraisal, a short beard framing a jaw set with quiet resolve. He has seen the shadow over Westlook. He has decided it is his problem to solve. The finely detailed display base — ornate and heraldic in design — grounds the piece with a sense of place and occasion, making it as compelling unlit on a shelf as it would be under a painting lamp.

This is a display bust, sculpted for adventurers who love the craft of painting as much as the game it serves. The generous scale opens up every surface — from the crossbow's engraved stock to the flowing folds of the cloak — in a way that smaller gaming miniatures simply cannot.

Suited to adventurers who:

Play or DM campaigns with a gritty, low-magic urban or wilderness feel

Want a centrepiece painting project that rewards careful layering and OSL

Love halfling characters and want a sculpt that takes the race seriously

Display painted busts alongside their gaming collection

Are entering painting competitions and need a character-rich subject

Encounter Hook

The party arrives in Westlook to find the night-watch decimated and rumours spreading of something moving in the fog off the docks. The only lead: a halfling ranger named Sturian, last seen heading toward the old lighthouse alone with a quiver of bolts and no lantern. Whether he becomes an unlikely ally or a mystery to unravel, his miniature makes a striking NPC handout or a memorable introduction piece at the table.

Details

Large-scale display bust of Sturian, Halfling Ranger

From DM Stash's Shadow Over Westlook setting

Supplied unpainted and ready to prime

Multipart sculpt — assembled before dispatch

Sculpted by DM Stash — visit their page to explore more characters from their richly detailed original worlds.

Pairs well with player character sculpts and gothic horror campaigns — or explore more from DM Stash.

Mitz & Simz — crafted with the same care we'd want if we were the adventurer.

Ready to add this adventurer to your collection?
