Monster Atlas has captured that raw, unsettling energy in a single tower of writhing bodies: a gnarled, bark-textured column erupting with goblinoid heads, reaching arms, splayed claws and wide, tooth-filled mouths all tangled together in one nightmarish mass. No single creature dominates — every face is part of the swarm, every limb belongs to the whole.

The sculpt rises vertically, with figures clawing their way upward from the base as though the tree itself is giving birth to something terrible. Blank, wide eyes stare outward from every angle, and the detail work throughout — the ridged skin, the tightly packed bodies, the overlapping hands and jaws — rewards close inspection and gives painters an enormous amount of texture to work with. Whether you ink the recesses to emphasise the chaos or pick out individual faces in contrasting colours, this is a miniature that will look compelling however you approach it.

A multipart sculpt, it can be supplied with or without a plain base depending on the option selected at checkout.

Brings the gibberling swarm encounter to life as a single dramatic centrepiece model

Works equally well as a corrupted treant proxy, a demon-possessed forest spirit, or a unique swarm creature

Rich surface texture throughout — ideal for washes, contrast paints, and layered highlighting

A striking display piece as well as a functional encounter model

Encounter Hook: The party has tracked a missing woodsman into the Thornwood, following a trail of scattered tools and muddy bootprints. They find the woodsman's axe buried in the base of a massive oak — and as one of them reaches to pull it free, the tree shudders, and the gibberling swarm erupts from its trunk, all teeth and noise and grasping fingers.

Details

Scale: 32mm — Supplied unpainted and unprimed — Multipart sculpt — Plain base option available

Sculpted by Monster Atlas — visit their collection to explore more of their work.

Pairs well with fiends and chaotic creatures and forest wilderness encounters — or explore more from Monster Atlas.

The cats insist on final approval.
