fallen-angel-archdevil-zariel-by-monster-atlas
Fallen Angel Archdevil Zariel by Monster Atlas

Once the mightiest of Celestia's warriors, Zariel fell not from cowardice but from conviction — and the Nine Hells forged something far more terrible from what remained.

✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK

✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime

✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs

✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Zariel is the Archduchess of Avernus, ruler of the first layer of the Nine Hells — and this sculpt captures exactly why she commands such dread. Wings spread wide in mid-descent, she wields a studded hammer in one hand and swings a spiked flail on a heavy chain from the other, her feathered armour etched with infernal scale-work along the lower body. A burning halo of flame crowns her shaved head, and her expression is cold, purposeful, and utterly without mercy. This is not a devil who lost herself — this is an angel who chose, and who has never once looked back.

The sculpt is a multipart miniature, giving painters the flexibility to assemble and prime each element separately for a cleaner finish across those expansive wings and layered armour plates. Whether you paint her in scorched golds and hellfire oranges or lean into a bleached, corrupted celestial palette, there is extraordinary detail here to reward the brush: individual feathers on each wing, chain links with weight and texture, and the suggestion of taloned feet beneath her flowing armour skirt.

Available with or without a plain base, so she can be mounted directly onto your preferred basing system if you're building a diorama or custom encounter base worthy of an Archduke of Hell.

Running Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus and need a final boss who looks the part

Painting a celestial-versus-infernal diorama and want a centrepiece with genuine presence

Building a Nine Hells warband and placing Zariel at the head of the column

Collecting archdevil miniatures for a complete hierarchy of Hell

Encounter Hook

The party has spent three sessions fighting their way across the Avernus wastes, forging fragile alliances with warlords and soul traders. Now, descending from a sky turned the colour of burning iron, Zariel herself appears — wings blotting out the hellfire horizon. She doesn't attack. Not yet. She simply lands before them, hammer resting on the scorched earth, chain swinging in slow arcs at her side, and asks them one question: what were you willing to sacrifice to reach me?

Details

Scale: 32mm | Finish: Unpainted | Multipart assembly required | Available with plain base or without base

Sculpted by Monster Atlas — visit their collection to explore more of their work.

Pairs well with fiend encounters and Avernus campaigns — or explore more from Monster Atlas.

The cats cannot help with the work.
