Monster Atlas's sculpt captures that wrongness beautifully: the creature crouches low with its grotesque, serrated-clawed arms raised wide, mouth agape in a soundless snarl. The webbed feet, the cracked and veined skin across the torso, the almost featureless face split by that tooth-filled maw — every detail communicates a creature evolved entirely for the purpose of grabbing things and not letting go.

This is the kind of miniature that makes adventurers shift uncomfortably in their chairs the moment it hits the table. Whether you paint it in cave-pale flesh tones with dark ichor-filled cracks, or go full bioluminescent horror with glowing veins, the sculpt rewards a careful brush. The raised arms and low-slung crouch also make it a compelling display piece — the kind of thing that looks genuinely unsettling on a shelf between sessions.

Available with or without a base, so you can mount it on your own scenic base or drop it straight onto your preferred basing system.

Dungeon Masters running Underdark crawls or urban sewer encounters

Adventurers who want their creature roster stocked with genuinely menacing aberrations

Painters who enjoy working on pale, textured skin and unsettling anatomies

Collectors building out a display that leans into cosmic horror aesthetics

Encounter Hook: As the party squeezes through a flooded sewer tunnel beneath the city, the rearguard notices the torchlight catching something pale and motionless overhead — just long enough to realise it isn't a stalactite before it drops.

Details

32mm scale miniature

Supplied unpainted and unprimed

Available with a plain base or without a base

Sculpted by Monster Atlas

Sculpted by Monster Atlas — visit their collection to see more of their work.

Pairs well with aberration encounters and Underdark delves — or explore more from Monster Atlas.

Every sculpt we stock is one we'd want on our own table.
