Sometimes the most unnerving cleric in the room is the one who barely reaches your knee — and radiates quiet, absolute certainty about the inevitability of endings. This Chipmunk Death Cleric from MZ4250 captures that energy precisely: an upright, bipedal chipmunk figure dressed in a simple tunic and wearing a chunky pack across their back, gazing upward with the serene composure of someone who has made their peace with mortality on behalf of everyone else too.

The sculpt has real character in its stillness. The chipmunk stands in a composed, weight-bearing pose — no dramatic weapon flourish, no snarling fury — just a cleric mid-journey, presumably on their way to answer prayers you'd rather hadn't been heard. The worn pack on their back speaks to a well-travelled divine servant, the kind who has been to more funerals than they've been invited to. It's a personality-rich sculpt that rewards careful painting, particularly in the textural contrast between the fine fur detailing and the harder geometry of the pack and straps.

As a miniature, this one punches well above its diminutive lore-scale. It works as a player character for those running a Mousefolk, Ratfolk or small-folk campaign, as a cult leader or village shaman NPC, or as the unexpected twist villain — the humble-looking traveller who turns out to have been communing with death gods the entire time.

Adventurers building a Mousefolk or small-folk adventuring party

Dungeon Masters running a village threatened by a quiet, unsettling Death Cleric cult

Painters who enjoy fine fur textures and character-driven sculpts

Fans of MZ4250's broad, lore-faithful bestiary of playable creature types

Encounter Hook: The party arrives in a halfling hamlet to find the local shrine has been rededicated — overnight, every symbol of life has been replaced with tokens of death, and the congregation is oddly peaceful about it. The new minister, a chipmunk cleric with an enormous pack and unsettlingly gentle eyes, welcomes them warmly and insists there is nothing to worry about. The harvest this year will be exceptional, they say.
