Her sunken cheeks, closed eyes, and the deep creases carved into her gaunt face speak of someone who has long since stopped fearing the world — someone who simply endures it, or perhaps commands it from behind a veil of apparent frailty. The heavy hood draped about her head pools in thick, generous folds across her shoulders, and a coarse rope crosses her chest — cinched tight, purposeful, and quietly unsettling. There is nothing decorative about her. Every detail of this sculpt is earned.

This is a bust built for painters who want something to sink into. The textural contrast between the deeply lined skin of her face and throat, the soft drape of her robe, and the rough braid of that rope gives brushwork real purchase at every scale of detail — from the broad washes that settle into the wrinkles of her neck, to the fine edge highlights that will bring her cheekbones forward in the light. Whether you are drawn to a cold, undead pallor or the weathered warmth of a woman who has simply lived too long and seen too much, Agatha rewards the attention.

As a display piece, she commands a shelf. As an NPC anchor for your campaign — a reclusive matriarch, a blind oracle, a hedge-witch whose motives are never quite clear — she gives your players something to genuinely unsettle them before a single word of dialogue is spoken.

This bust suits adventurers who:

Relish a technically demanding centrepiece painting project

Want a sinister elder NPC to anchor a gothic or dark fantasy campaign

Are building a display shelf with character and visual presence

Enjoy sculpts where age, texture, and expression carry the whole narrative

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at a crumbling manor on the edge of a moor, following rumours of a woman who has not aged in forty years. They find Agatha Saltwick seated in a darkened room, eyes closed, rope-bound robes motionless — and cannot tell, for a long, uncomfortable moment, whether she is alive.
